Fluticasone furoate is a synthetic trifluorinated corticosteroid that possesses a very high affinity for the glucocorticoid receptor and has a potent anti-inflammatory action. It acts by decreasing the release of substances that are involved in the inflammation process, such as histamine, hence reducing the symptoms of allergy.
