Fusidic acid is an antibiotic. The place of fusidic acid in dermatology is in the treatment of mild to moderately severe skin and soft-tissue infections, e.g. impetigo, folliculitis, erythrasma, furunculosis, abscesses, and infected traumatic wounds.
